Vancouver Canucks captain Henrik Sedin is expected to miss two weeks with a lower-body injury, TVA Sports’ Renaud Lavoie reports.
Sedin collided with a fallen Buffalo player behind the Sabres’ net late in the second period on Sunday’s game.
Sedin was honoured in a pre-game ceremony for playing his 1,000th NHL game, which he played on March 12 in Winnipeg.
Following the Canucks 4-2 win over the Sabres, Vancouver pulled within three points of eighth-place Phoenix, and one point of ninth-place Dallas in the race for the second wild-card playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Sedin leads the Canucks with 46 points.
