The Boston Bruins signed defenceman Christian Ehrhoff Friday to a professional tryout contract, according to CSN.
Ehrhoff, a native of Germany, played for Team Europe at the World Cup of Hockey where he recorded three assists in six games.
The 34-year-old defenceman scored 12 points in 48 games last season, split between the Los Angeles Kings and Chicago Blackhawks. He has 339 points in 789 career NHL games.
The Bruins currently have seven defencemen under contract, including John-Michael Liles and Joe Morrow who each have one year remaining on their deals.
