Alex Galchenyuk is inching closer to making his debut with the Arizona Coyotes.
The forward is out with a lower-body injury but has been cleared for contact, according to Coyotes beat reporter Craig Morgan.
Galchenyuk, who was acquired in an off-season trade with the Montreal Coyotes in exchange for Max Domi, accompanied the Coyotes on their four-game road trip that begins Tuesday in Minnesota against the Wild but it’s unclear when he’ll be ready to suit up.
Whenever the 24-year-old is ready to be slotted into Arizona’s lineup it’ll be a welcome sight. The Coyotes have been shut out in three of their four games thus far this season.
Galchenyuk scored 19 goals and 51 points in 82 games with the Canadiens one season ago.
