Jonathan Huberdeau out 3-4 months with lower-body injury

Panthers fans are holding their breath as Jonathan Huberdeau needed help leaving Saturday's preseason game against the New Jersey Devils with an apparent leg injury.

After suffering a lower-body injury in the Florida Panthers‘ final pre-season game, forward Jonathan Huberdeau is expected to be out “long-term.”

From Harvey Fialkov of the Sun Sentinel:

Update: the Panthers say Huberdeau will be out three-to-four months.

Huberdeau, who signed a six-year, $35.4-million contract with Florida in September, was injured when a skate came down on his leg Saturday night.

The Panthers have already suffered a loss in Nick Bjugstad who is expected to miss four weeks with a broken hand.
