Two days after it was revealed that Josh Harding broke his foot in an off-ice incident, the Minnesota Wild have decided to suspend the goaltender.
According to Michael Russo of the Minnesota Star Tribune, Wild GM Chuck Fletcher made the decision to suspend Harding. While the 30-year-old netminder recovers from his injury he will not be paid a portion of his salary and won’t count against Minnesota’s cap.
Harding was to make $2.1 million this season.

After hurting himself in an altercation with a teammate, Harding is expected to be out two months minimum, Russo reports.
In the wake of this injury, the Wild agreed to terms with goaltender Darcy Kuemper on Thursday.
