The New York Rangers have agreed to a one-year contract with restricted free agent Brendan Lemieux. Terms of the contract were not released.

Lemieux, 23, just completed his three-year, entry-level contract. The left winger was acquired by the Rangers from the Winnipeg Jets in the Kevin Hayes trade at last season’s trade deadline.

In 63 games last season between the Jets and Rangers, Lemieux scored 12 goals and 17 points.

Lemieux is the son of former NHLer Claude Lemieux.
