Los Angeles Kings defenceman Robyn Regehr is likely hanging up the skates for good after 15 NHL seasons.

Regehr, 34, was a first round pick of the Colorado Avalanche in 1998 (19th overall) and has played 1,090 games in his NHL career, most of which came with the Calgary Flames.

The Brazil-born Canadian racked up 36 goals and 199 points in the NHL with the Flames, Buffalo Sabres, and Los Angeles Kings.

He was a well-regarded defensive defenceman, three-time All-Star, and Stanley Cup champion with the Kings in 2014.
