Rogers on Flames: Tough road ahead

The Flames have thirteen games left going into tonight’s game against the San Jose Sharks, and the big question is, how many can the Flames win?

The only game they have against a team that is not in the playoffs, or a team fighting for a playoff spot, is the Colorado Avalanche, and that game is Monday in Denver.

With the Flames losing their last eleven games on the road, winning in Denver may be a monumental task. The talk among the fans and media that follow the Flames, are hoping they lose all thirteen so they can get the first-overall pick. Overall in the NHL, the Flames are ranked 28th, tied with Florida and two points ahead of the Avalanche, so finishing 30th is a strong possibility.

The last thing you want to see is the Flames tank and not put in the effort to finish the season strong, but if that happens, a lot of people will have a smile on their face, knowing the Flames have a strong possibility to get the best player in the draft.

I am not going to say how many the Flames will win the rest of the season, but I don’t believe the number is going to be very high, so get ready Flames faithful to see the Flames get the first-overall pick.
