Sabres sign forward Marcus Johansson to two-year contract

The Buffalo Sabres have agreed on a two-year, $9-million deal with forward Marcus Johansson, the team announced Saturday.

Johansson had 13 goals and 30 points in 58 games between the New Jersey Devils and Boston Bruins in 2018-19. The 28-year-old also had a career-high 11 playoff points in 22 games, reaching the Stanley Cup Final with the Bruins.

A native of Sweden, Johansson was a first-round pick, 24th overall, with the Washington Capitals in 2009.
