Sabres sign Meszaros to one-year contract

The Buffalo Sabres made another move to strengthen their defence, signing Andrej Meszaros to a one-year contract.

Meszaros started last season with the Philadelphia Flyers before being traded to the Boston Bruins. In 52 total games, the Slovakian blueliner had 22 points and 40 penalty minutes.

Earlier Tuesday the Sabres acquired Josh Gorges from the Montreal Canadiens. The team also signed Brian Gionta and Matt Moulson and re-sign Marcus Foligno and Cody McCormick.
