Flyers call up Brayden Schenn

The Philadelphia Flyers have recalled centre Brayden Schenn and defenseman Kevin Marshall from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms. In addition, right wing Andreas Nodl was claimed off waivers today by the Carolina Hurricanes.

Schenn, 20, has posted six goals and six assists for 12 points in seven appearances with the Phantoms this season. With the Flyers, he has gone scoreless with seven shots on goal in four games while playing an average of 14:52 per game.

Marshall, 22, has appeared in two games for the Flyers this season. He made his NHL debut on Nov. 21 vs. Carolina, recording two hits and two blocked shots. He has scored one goal in 16 games for the Phantoms so far this season. In 169 career games with the Phantoms over three seasons, Marshall has scored six goals and added 18 assists for 24 points, along with 216 PIM. He was selected by the Flyers in the second round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Nodl, 24, was selected by the Flyers in the second round of the 2006 draft. In 127 games for the Flyers over parts of four seasons (2008-09 – 2011-12), Nodl recorded 12 goals and 16 assists for 28 points.
