Ottawa Senators forward Alexandre Burrows has been fined $5,000 for roughing by the NHL’s department of player safety.
Burrows hit San Jose Sharks defenceman Dylan Demelo with his hand/butt-end during Saturday’s 5-0 Sharks win.
The money goes to the players’ emergency assistance fund.
