Senators assign Chlapik, White, Harpur to AHL ahead of bye week

The Senators prevailed in a back-and-forth affair after Tom Pyatt scored the game-winner in the third, beating the Maple Leafs 4-3.

The Ottawa Senators have assigned forwards Filip Chlapik and Colin White, along with defenceman Ben Harpur to AHL Belleville.

The move gives the young Senators somethings to do during Ottawa’s bye week. The big club doesn’t play again until Jan. 18.

Chlapik, a 2015 second-round pick, has two assists in seven games this season.

White, a 2015 first-round pick, is scoreless in three appearances, while Harpur, a fourth-round pick in 2013, has one assist in 20 games.
