Senators goalie Craig Anderson named Masterton Trophy winner

Ottawa Senators goalie Craig Anderson won the Bill Masterton Trophy for perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.

In 40 games this season, Anderson was 25-11-4 with a 2.28 goals-against average. Anderson missed time during the season to care for his wife Nicholle, who was diagnosed with throat cancer.

Andrew Cogliano of the Anaheim Ducks and Derek Ryan of the Carolina Hurricanes were also named finalists for the award.
