Vladislav Namestnikov took a hit from Cale Fleury and went flying into the boards, forcing him to head to the dressing room.

Ottawa Senators forward Vladislav Namestnikov left the team’s game against the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday with a lower-body injury and will not return, the team announced.

Namestnikov went to the locker room with the help of a trainer after getting sent into the boards on a hit by Cale Fleury as he tried to enter the Canadiens’ zone during the first period.

The 26-year-old came into Wednesday’s game with 12 points in 19 games with the Senators this season.

The former first-round pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning (27th overall in 2011) has racked up 170 points across 381 career games.
