The Ottawa Senators have placed defenceman Andreas Englund on waivers.
Englund has appeared in 12 games for the Senators this season, recording two assists and collecting 12 penalty minutes with a minus-five rating.
Prior to being called up to the NHL in December, the six-foot-three Swede appeared in 11 games for the AHL’s Belleville Senators without scoring any points.
Englund was a second-round draft pick of the Senators in 2014, but only appeared in nine games for Ottawa prior to this season, spending most of his time in the AHL.
