The Ottawa Senators have re-assigned forwards Drake Batherson and Josh Norris to the AHL’s Belleville Senators, the team announced Sunday.

Norris made his NHL debut in Saturday’s loss to the Montreal Canadiens, recording four shots on goal in 15:16 of ice time. In 51 games for Belleville, the 20-year-old is third in league scoring and tops among rookies with 30 goals and 58 points.

In 23 games with Ottawa, Batherson has three goals and 10 points. The 21-year-old has 14 goals and 46 points in 37 AHL games.

The move mostly likely was made to keep the players eligible for the AHL playoffs. The Senators return to action Monday night on the road against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
