The Ottawa Senators re-signed forward Mike Hoffman to a one-year, two-way deal Thursday.
The 23-year-old native of Kitchener, Ont., scored 28 points and was a plus-9 in 41 games last season with the Bingamton Senators, the team’s American Hockey League affiliate.
Hoffman appeared in three games with the big club in 2013, registering two penalty minutes before sustaining a season-ending collarbone injury on Apr. 2 in a game against the Boston Bruins.
Ottawa selected him in the fifth round, 130th overall in the 2009 draft out of the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
