Senators recall defenceman Erik Burgdoerfer from AHL Belleville

The Ottawa Senators have recalled defenceman Erik Burgdoerfer from AHL Belleville.

Burgdoerfer has two goals and six points in 16 games with the Baby Sens, and has one assist in his five career NHL appearances.

The Senators host the San Jose Sharks on Saturday, in Erik Karlsson’s return to Ottawa.

Defenceman Mark Borowiecki was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday with an upper-body injury.
