The Ottawa Senators have signed Swedish defenceman Olle Alsing to a two-year, entry-level contract.

Alsing, 23, led the Swedish Hockey League in plus/minus rating (plus-26) last season. He registered four goals and 15 points in 49 regular season games with Djurgardens.

The defenceman added four goals and four assists over 18 playoff games to help his team make the SHL final. Djurgardens fell to Frolunda in the best-of-seven series last week.

Alsing is expected to make his first visit to Ottawa for a summer development camp in June.
