The Ottawa Senators have signed forward Brendan Woods to a professional tryout agreement, the team announced Tuesday.
Woods has spent his entire professional career with the Carolina Hurricanes, who drafted the 25-year-old in the fifth round of the 2012 NHL Draft (129th overall).
The 6-foot-4 native of Palmyra, Pa., spent all of last season in AHL Charlotte where he had three goals and three assists in 24 games.
He played five games with the Hurricanes in 2015-16, scoring no points.
The Senators open camp on Thursday.
