Senators sign forward Mike Blunden to two-year, two-way contract

The Ottawa Senators signed forward Mike Blunden to a two-year, two-way contract on Friday.

Blunden, 29, became an unrestricted free agent on July 1 after spending last season between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch.

His contract will carry an average annual value of $737,500, per General Fanager.

Blunden scored three goals with two assists in 20 NHL games last season and appeared in seven playoff games with the Lightning.
