It was a big day for the Toronto Maple Leafs as the club introduced new team president Brendan Shanahan on Monday.

Shanahan will have full authority of both hockey and business operations of the Leafs. He inherits a team that has just one post-season appearance since 2005-06 and faltered down the stretch again this season.

During his introductory press conference, Shanahan acknowledged that there’s “lots of work to be done.”

Below, you can see video of the Shanahan press conference that included MLSE CEO Tim Leiweke and general manager Dave Nonis before all the key players (Shanahan, Leiweke, and Nonis) sat down with Sportsnet to discuss the Leafs’ new direction and the off-season’s most pressing needs.
