San Jose Sharks defenceman Brenden Dillon won’t face any supplemental discipline after a high hit on Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews on Friday night, Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston reports.
Dillon stepped up on Matthews 11:30 into the second period just as the latter was entering the offensive zone and crossing the blue line.
Dillon’s hands appeared to go high on Matthews, who underwent concussion protocol afterwards. There was no penalty on the play.
Toronto won the game 4-1.
