The Philadelphia Flyers have recalled centre Brayden Schenn from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms, and have loaned wingers Zac Rinaldo and Harry Zolnierczyk to Adirondack, the team announced on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old Schenn has recorded four goals and four assists in four games for Adirondack so far this season, including a hat trick on Oct. 14 in a 6-3 win vs. Bridgeport. He departs the AHL as the league’s leading scorer among rookies, and is tied for second overall in AHL scoring.
The Flyers acquired Shenn, along with Wayne Simmonds and a 2012 second-round pick, in a June 23 deal that sent Mike Richards and Rob Bordson to the L.A. Kings.
Rinaldo, 21, has appeared in all five games for the Flyers so far this season, recording 28 penalty minutes. The forward picked up his first NHL point with an assist on Oct. 18 at Ottawa.
Zolnierczyk, 24, scored his first NHL goal in his one game with the Flyers. He has recorded a goal and three assists for Adirondack this season, all of which came in a four-point night last Friday in the 6-3 win over Bridgeport.
