Drake Caggiula, a Pickering, Ontario native, seems ready to sign with the Edmonton Oilers after several NHL clubs were reportedly pursuing his services. Caggiula, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound forward, just completed his fourth year at the University of North Dakota, finishing with 51 points in 39 games.

The 21-year-old left-hand shot was named the most outstanding player at the 2016 Frozen Four tournament, scoring two goals in the final to help his school win the championship.

Among other teams pursuing Caggiula were the Vancouver Canucks and Philadelphia Flyers.
