Newly announced Hockey Night in Canada hosts Ron MacLean and David Amber join Bob McCown and Damien Cox on Prime Time Sports.

TORONTO—Sportsnet today announced its 2016-17 NHL national broadcast schedule, featuring more than 300 national games and three main marquee national nights – Hockey Night in Canada on Saturdays, Rogers Hometown Hockey on Sundays, and Scotiabank Wednesday Night Hockey on Wednesdays. (See below for full broadcast schedule).

Sportsnet’s 2016-17 schedule delivers premium Canadian match-ups chock full of NHL star power. Two other marquee outdoor games on the 2016-17 schedule include the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic and the NHL Stadium Series.

Sportsnet will deliver comprehensive coverage of the 2017 NHL All-Star Game in Los Angeles and the 17th annual Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada, as well as the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs and Stanley Cup Final.

The 2016-17 NHL season opens on Wednesday, Oct. 12, and Sportsnet will broadcast an all-Canadian doubleheader, kicking off with rookie Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs visiting Erik Karlsson and the Ottawa Senators at 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet, Rogers NHL GameCentre LIVE and Sportsnet NOW. In the second game of the twin bill, Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers celebrate the grand opening of Rogers Place, hosting Mark Giordano and the Calgary Flames in the newest edition of the Battle of Alberta.
