Saturday night marks the final day of the regular season and will also finalize the playoff picture. Here are the scenarios on how teams can clinch.

Ottawa would clinch a playoff spot if they beat the Philadelphia Flyers in any fashion.

The Senators can clinch third place in the Atlantic Division with a victory and a regulation loss by the Detroit Red Wings, who face the Carolina Hurricanes.

Should Ottawa win or take the game against the Flyers into overtime, only one of Pittsburgh or Boston could qualify. The Penguins and Bruins can get in with a victory should the Senators lose in regulation.

Boston would clinch a playoff berth if they beat the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Senators lose in regulation.

If Ottawa wins, the Bruins would also need Pittsburgh to lose in order to help their chances of getting in.

The Penguins would clinch a playoff berth if they defeat the Buffalo Sabres and Ottawa loses in regulation.

Pittsburgh would also get in if Boston loses to the Lightning. The Pens also enter Saturday with a 38-37 advantage in regulation and overtime wins, but the Bruins won the season series 2-1.
