DALLAS — The Dallas Stars have signed goalie Brent Krahn to a two-way contract for next season.

Krahn played 22 games for the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League this season, winning 17 games with five shutouts and a 1.83 goals-against average. Krahn’s two-way contract allows for different salaries, depending on if he plays in the NHL or the AHL.

Dallas also extended qualifying offers Tuesday to nine restricted free agents — left wingers James Neal and Fabian Brunnstrom; defencemen Matt Niskanen, Maxime Fortunus, Nicklas Grossman and Trevor Ludwig; centres Aaron Gagnon and Perttu Lindgren; and right-winger Raymond Sawada.

The Stars are eligible for compensation if any of those players sign with another team.

The Stars declined to give a qualifying offer to forward Tyler Shelast, making him eligible to be an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
