The Dallas Stars announced the signing of Jason Dickinson to a one-year, $875,000 contract on Friday.
The 23-year-old centre split the 2017-18 season between Dallas and the Texas Stars of the AHL.
In 27 games with Dallas, Dickinson tallied two points and 17 penalty minutes. In the AHL, he skated in 42 games and recorded 28 points. He added 10 points during the 2018 Calder Cup Playoffs.
For his AHL career, Dickinson has registered 114 points with eight game-winning goals in 175 appearances.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Georgetown, Ont., was originally selected by Dallas in the first round (29th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.
