Gotta See It: Stamkos slaps 91-yard field goal

Lightning captain Steven Stamkos converts a "field goal" from 91 yards out.

In a promotional clip that will only fuel speculation of Steven Stamkos’s signing to the Toronto Argonauts in 2016, the captain of the Tampa Bay Lightning takes his slap shot to the football field and fires field goals from increasing distances.

The 91-second spot is the latest from the creative minds of Bauer, whose ridiculous Patrick Kane stick-handling video went viral a year ago.

In this one, Stamkos uses a plastic mat and an MX3 stick to launch glowing pucks through the uprights, starting with a mellow 40-yarder and culminating with a 91-yard bomb. So apropos.

Replacing the football ref with a hockey one is a nice touch.

Please, Stammer, don’t hurt ’em.
