A season of great expectations began for the Toronto Maple Leafs Wednesday night and the boys in Blue and White got some support from some of their athletic peers around the city.

More interestingly, however, is the fact that while it’s pretty standard for pro sports teams in the same city to support each other on social media, athletes in other sports usually aren’t so vocal with their support.

That is, unless you’re Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman.
