P.K. Subban will be sporting a pair of custom skates for the 2016 Bridgestone Winter Classic in yet another charitable effort.

The Montreal Canadiens defenceman designed the skates himself and paid a visit to Quebec’s CCM-Reebok factory to oversee them being brought to life. Subban intends to auction off at least eight pairs of his custom skates for charity.

The Canadiens face the Boston Bruins at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. on New Year’s Day. Subban has already teamed up with Bruins legend Ray Bourque for “Ray and P.K’s Ultimate Winter Classic Raffle,” which will provide four tickets to the 2016 Winter Classic, roundtrip airfare, accommodations, signed jerseys, and a chance to meet Subban and Bourque to the winner.

Proceeds from the sale of these handmade beauties will go to P.K.’s Helping Hand to help assist the families of hospitalized children.

Subban donated $10 million to Montreal Children’s Hospital to open the Atrium P.K. Subban in September.
