Tarasenko takes NHL’s top weekly honours

Tarasenko was clutch, Domingue was a difference maker and Spezza collected his 800th point.

NEW YORK — St. Louis Blues right wing Vladimir Tarasenko, Florida Panthers centre Vincent Trocheck and New Jersey Devils goaltender Keith Kinkaid have been named the NHL’s three stars of the week.

Tarasenko tied for the League lead with six points (three goals, three assists) in three games to power the Blues to a three wins and a share of first place in the Western Conference.

The 24-year-old Yaroslavl, Russia, native shares fifth place in the NHL with 33 goals this season, his second straight 30-goal campaign.

Trocheck led the NHL with five assists and added a goal to lift the Panthers to five out of a possible six standings points.

Kinkaid went 2-0-0 with a 0.48 goals-against average, .981 save percentage and one shutout to lead the Devils to a perfect start on their three-game road trip through California.
