If you abandoned Google as your default homepage once web-searching became built in to your url field, go to Google.com today. Now. It’s worth it.
You might risk wasting precious minutes of your life, but you’ll get a kick out of today’s interactive doodle, which celebrates the birthday of Frank Zamboni Jr. with an Atari-style video game that allows users to clean the ice after skaters and hockey players.
Anyone notice the #Zamboni game that @google has up today as their doodle? High scores? 497 here. pcmag.com/article2/0,281…

Controlled simply but slippery with up, down, left and right buttons on your keyboard, the game gets progressively more difficult – and addictive – as you scrape and steam the rink after gouging little skaters. The old-school arcade soundtrack can be turned off so your boss doesn’t realize you’re wasting company time, and you can share your high score with friends.
If Zamboni were alive today to see the doodle game, he would be blowing out 102 candles on his birthday cake, then surely scraping off the icing.
