“That’s the worst,” P.K. Subban says, with a half-embarrassed chuckle and a head shake. “C’mon. You’re trying to do a good thing as an athlete, trying to be a professional, and it just so happens that I stopped in the wrong place to do it.”
The good thing was taking a pause from his shopping trip with friends on Saturday to pose for a photo with a pair of young Canadiens fans who recognized the defenceman walking down Montreal’s Rue Sainte-Catherine. The wrong* place was Le Grand Prix (formerly Le Gentlemen’s Choice), a strip club featured prominently in the Habs fans’ keepsake of their hero.

Not only did Subban stop for the exposure, he innocently tweeted out the pic to his 168,000-plus followers.
“haha maybe next time u take pictures with your fans you stand in front of a different doorway!!” fellow Habs defenceman Josh Georges shot back.
“I didn’t know it was there. Didn’t even look,” Subban explains. “I was with two young kids who will have that picture for life. I’m sure when they get older, they’ll be like, ‘Wow, what a stud that guy was.’ ”
