The ageless wonder Jaromir Jagr came into Tuesday’s game against the Buffalo Sabres three points shy of Mark Messier for second on the NHL’s all-time career points list.
So, naturally, Jagr put three assists on the Sabres in a shootout win.
Jagr reached 1,887 points in 94 fewer games than Messier and did it with 61 more goals. Jagr is also third on the all-time goals list with 755, 46 behind Gordie Howe.
But he’s still 970 points and 139 goals behind Wayne Gretzky.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to Jagr’s feat.
