Two Canadiens prospects out months after surgeries

Shea Weber, Max Pacioretty and Jonathan Drouin discuss the importance of training camp for finding the right chemistry with new teammates and line mates.

Two Montreal Canadiens prospects will miss significant time after they each had surgery on Friday.

Forward Jeremiah Addison, 20, had shoulder surgery and his expected to miss six months. A seventh-round pick in 2015, Addison had 24 goals and 43 points last season with the OHL’s Windsor Spitfires.

Josh Brook, 18, had wrist surgery and is expected to miss three months. The defenceman was a second-round pick by the Canadiens in June. He had eight goals and 40 points with the WHL’s Moose Jaw Warriors last season.

The Canadiens also announced that forward Markus Eisenschmid and goaltender Michael McNiven had been cut from training camp on Friday. Both will report to the AHL’s Laval Rocket training camp.
