Tyler Bozak out of Maple Leafs lineup against Penguins

Tyler Bozak made a shot block, but it ended up costing him as he eventually left the game.

Phil Kessel will play against his former Maple Leafs teammates for the first time Saturday night, but he won’t be playing against his old centreman.

Tyler Bozak was ruled out of the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Against the Columbus Blue Jackets Friday night, Bozak blocked a shot and was forced to leave the game.

There is no other specific update on Bozak’s status.

In four games this season, Bozak has one goal and one assist. He was used mostly as Kessel’s centreman when the sniper was a member of the Maple Leafs. Bozak’s best season was in 2013-14, when he scored 49 points in 58 games.

Mark Arcobello will be inserted into the lineup in Bozak’s place.

You can watch the game at 7:00 PM ET on City.
