Winnipeg Jets defenceman Tyler Myers has not played a game since Nov. 11 against Colorado, which he left with a lower-body injury.

While he’s still recovering from that injury, he’s now also stepped away from the team due to a personal matter.

“Tyler came with us on the road to Florida and had to leave on a personal family matter with the full blessing of the Winnipeg Jets and he’s still dealing with that now,” said head coach Paul Maurice.

Myers is still on the injured reserve and has missed 32 games this season.
