U.S. roster for 2018 IIHF World Championship unveiled

USA Hockey has released its roster for the upcoming 2018 IIHF World Championship, with Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane serving as captain.

Among the 23 players named to the roster, 14 have skated for a U.S. national team. Detroit Red Wings bench boss Jeff Blashill will coach the team.

The tournament runs from May 4-20 in Copenhagen and Herning, Denmark. Team USA begins tournament play on May 4 against their Canadian rivals.
