Visnovsky, Isles agree to two-year extension

UNIONDALE, N.Y. — Defenceman Lubomir Visnovsky has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the New York Islanders.

Visnovsky has nine points (three goals, six assists) in 22 games with the Islanders this season.

He was acquired on June 22, 2012, from the Anaheim Ducks for a second-round pick in the 2013 draft.

He had a career season with Anaheim during the 2010-11 season, when he scored 18 goals and 50 assists in 81 games.
