Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby picked up his seventh career NHL fighting major Thursday when he dropped the gloves with Columbus Blue Jackets forward Brandon Dubinsky.
Dubinsky had been shadowing Crosby and tempers boiled over in the second period. Each player got in a few solid shots and no one was injured.

Crosby’s last fight was against Philadelphia Flyers star Claude Giroux during Game 3 of the Pens-Flyers playoff series in 2012.
Meanwhile, Dubinsky now has 34 fights in the NHL and is the only player in NHL history to fight the league’s top two stars.
These two teams have developed a rivalry since the Blue Jackets were placed into the Metropolitan Division last season. They met in a heated post-season series last year, one that saw Dubinsky and Crosby go head-to-head on many shifts.
