We all know what Pittsburgh Penguins stars Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby are capable of on the ice, but for years hockey fans have pondered the age-old question: Who would win a parking lot Zamboni race?
Finally, more than a decade into their remarkable NHL careers, we have an answer thanks to a video the team tweeted out Wednesday evening.
Naturally, the two future Hall of Famers gave it their all and the race came down to a photo finish with Malkin edging out Crosby by a fraction of a second.
“This was fun, yeah? I like it. Congrats [on] second place,” Malkin told Crosby with a laugh.
Crosby might have a couple Olympic gold medals to his name and a fuller trophy case, but Malkin can always hold this Zamboni race victory over his teammate’s head.
