Hockey is back, and one of the many benefits of such a festive time have returned with it: alternate jerseys.
The Pittsburgh Penguins unveiled their third jerseys — taking it back to the old school with the return of the “Pittsburgh Gold” — on Friday with a video featuring captain Sidney Crosby.
The Penguins will debut their gold jerseys, which the team sported from 1980-1992, on Oct. 22 against the Philadelphia Flyers and will wear them 11 more times during the 2014-15 season.
