As far as promotional stunts for summer blockbusters go, you could do worse than having Will Ferrell pilot a Zamboni alongside Zach Galifianakis through downtown Toronto and pull up to the Hockey Hall of Fame.
It’s unclear what tie their flick The Campaign has to the NHL’s prized Hart Trophy, which sits fern-like as the two oddballs get interviewed by Sportsnet’s Christine Simpson (above).
But no matter. Any excuse to see a Zamboni clog summer traffic or watch Galifianakis and Ferrell — representing for his champion L.A. Kings — riff on synchronized diving, outdoor checkers and the Olympics is fine by us.
Even if Ferrell is “more of a Pan-Am guy.”
