Zach Sill suspended two games for hit on Bruins’ Adam McQuaid

Adam McQuaid leaves Tuesday's game against Washington, after taking a dangerous hit from Zach Sill with no penalty called on the play.

Washington Capitals forward Zach Sill has been suspended two games for his boarding hit on Boston Bruins defenceman Adam McQuaid Tuesday night, the league announced Wednesday.

Sill sent a vulnerable McQuaid into the boards in the second period, rattling the Bruins defenceman’s head off the glass in the process.

No penalty was called on the play. McQuaid left the game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Sill has no points in four games this season.
