Gotta See It: Zemgus Girgensons rap song exists

Forget being named to the NHL All-star Game. The only way to know you've really made it is to have a rap song spat in your honour. (YouTube)

So what if you ran away with the NHL All-Star Game vote?

You’ve never truly made it as a professional athlete until you have a rap song named after you.

Just ask Mark McGwire. Or Barry Sanders. Or Michael Jordan. Or Barry Bonds. Or Kobe Bryant. Or Kenny Lofton.

Well, Zemgus Girgensons. You, sir, have arrived.

Olas, a Latvian rap duo, has dropped a club-rattling new rap single/video in honour of the proud republic’s greatest hockey export.

If Olas can get a YouTube view out of every fan who voted the Buffalo Sabres forward into the 2015 All-Star Game (1,574,896), they might blow up.

Girgensons tweeted out the video — which features a Zamboni cameo! — late Wednesday night.
