The Montreal Canadiens goaltender unveiled the first of two new masks he’ll sport for the September tournament. Here’s a look at mask No. 1 via CCM Goalie.
It’s a sharp design featuring at least three Canadian maple leaf designs, with some red lightning accents to match Team Canada’s sweater design.
Price was limited to just 12 appearances with the Canadiens in 2015-16 due to a right knee injury. The 29-year-old capped an outstanding 2014-15 season by taking home the Hart Memorial Trophy, Vezina Trophy, Ted Lindsay Award, and a share in the William M. Jennings Trophy.
The World Cup of Hockey begins September 17 in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre.
