Hockey Canada has unveiled the 25 players who will represent Canada’s national junior team at the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship, in Edmonton.
Three goaltenders, eight defencemen and 14 forwards were selected by Alan Millar, director of player personnel, and James Boyd, the under-20 lead for the Program of Excellence management group, with support from Scott Salmond, senior vice-president of hockey operations
Head coach Dave Cameron with assistant coaches and consultants also provided input.
“We are excited to unveil the 25 players who will represent Canada at the World Juniors, as we believe we have assembled a team that will give us the best chance to win a gold medal on home ice,” said Millar in a statement. “We know this group of players and staff will represent our country with pride and embrace the opportunity to compete in a unique summer event in Edmonton.”

Team Canada will gather in Calgary for a training camp at the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex on the Tsuut’ina Nation before travelling to Edmonton.
Originally set to play in December 2021 and January 2022, the tournament was postponed after multiple game cancellations due to COVID-19.
